Tracking Settings

Navigate to the Site Tracking page (1) in order to manage the tracking settings. Once in the Tracking Settings tab (2), you are able to create necessary templates, send the global tracking code, and export tracking points to Excel.

Different types of Templates (3), depending on the tracker load or page type, are placed on the left side of the page. The following templates are available:

  • Standard – standard tracking code is used to track visits on a website either on one specific page or the whole website at once. Click here for more information and implementation instructions.
  • Click – click type tracking code is used to track button clicks or load Adform tracking script on a particular event. Click here for more information and implementation instructions.
  • Flash – events or pages inside a Flash movie can be tracked by executing an Adform JavaScript function located on a webpage embedding the Flash site. The function is executed with different parameters for each event/page. Click here for more information and implementation instructions.
  • Redirect – redirect type tracking code is used to track a link from, for example, a Flash file to another site or a *.pdf file. In some cases CMS systems do not allow inserting 3rd party HTML / JavaScript code (Adform standard tracking codes) and by using the redirect tracking URLs, pages can still be tracked. Click here for more information and implementation instructions.
  • DCO templates (basket, product and conversion) – these templates have particular variables (Product ID, Step)  added to the code by default. These variables are necessary when running a dynamic creative optimization campaign. Read more here.
