Data Exchange

The standard data delivery part is quite simple – Adform partners need to deliver data files to Amazon S3 folder or Adform Cloud (CEPH) dedicated storage destination for data import files.

  • Adform Cloud (CEPH)

    In Adform Cloud (CEPH) storage new bucket as dedicated storage is created for each user and provided together with Bucket path, Access Key and Secret Access Key.

    Standard format of the data storage URL is:

    https://storage.adform.com/dmp-{provider-title}/{date-component}/{file-title}

    where:

    • {provider-title} is a dedicated folder for a specific data provider (Adform’s data partner), created by Adform
    • {date-component} is the date of files that are provided (the split by date is required)
    • {file-title} is the title of a file that data partners want to use

    For example,

    https://storage.adform.com/dmp-mydataprovider/20141102/datafile1-74159844548.gz
    https://storage.adform.com/dmp-mydataprovider/20141103/datafile2-94169884547.gz

    It is highly recommended to upload files which do not exceed 100 Mb

    One or more files can be delivered during a day (the amount and frequency is not limited). Delivered files must be compressed using GZipStorage is limited to 900 files and files are stored up to 10 days from the delivery day. Maximum file size to upload is 4 GB.

  • Amazon S3

    Amazon S3 folder is provided together with the access credentials: Path, Access Key and Secret Access Key.

    Standard format of the data storage URL is:

    https://data-providers.s3.amazonaws.com/{provider-title}/dt={date-component}/{file-title}

    where:

    • {provider-title} is a dedicated folder for a specific data provider (Adform’s data partner), created by Adform
    • {date-component} is the date of files that are provided (the split by date is required)
    • {file-title} is the title of a file that data partners want to use

    For example:

    https://data-providers.s3.amazonaws.com/mydataprovider/dt=20141102/datafile1-74159833547.gz
    https://data-providers.s3.amazonaws.com/mydataprovider/dt=20141103/datafile2-94169884547.gz

    It is highly recommended to upload files which do not exceed 100 Mb

    One or more files can be delivered during a day (the amount and frequency is not limited). Delivered files must be compressed using GZipFiles are stored in the bucket up to 14 days.

  • Data Files

    Data files should contain two tab separated columns (there might be more columns if required by the standard data generation process, Adform can ignore these on its side) without headers (segment IDs should be separated by a comma):

    {UUID}{tab-separator}{SEGMENT_OwnerIDs}

    Example of the file content:

    951741598523654 14471,14445,14448,14423
    951963258710234 14485,14448,14411
    951951478523387 14445,14423,14456

    Segment OwnerIDs should be unique within the whole partners’ system, meaning that if there will be several data owners who are using this platform to deliver their segments, these owners will be identified (mapped) by the segment OwnerID.

    Data will not be imported, if a segment does not exist on Adform DMP. This can be solved in multiple ways:

    • Segments can be imported to the system manually prior the first data import. New segments can be added later upon a request.
    • Segments can be created and synchronized by a client using Adform DMP API. API help and description can be found at https://api.adform.com/v1/help/dmp

    In case the client cannot perform some of the actions or different workflow should be used, some customizations might be applied. This should be a part of discussions prior to starting the integration process and needs to be evaluated with the DMP integration team and stakeholders.
